    Position Summary

    :


    The PPW Program provides 24/7 residential treatment services to pregnant women and/or women with children that are involved with DCFS or may become involved with DCFS due to their use of drugs and/or alcohol.

    The Children's Program Coordinator (CPC) is responsible for implementing the program in collaboration with the leadership team and Women's Program Coordinator.

    Ensures on-going effective communication between TNC Continuum, Women's and Children's program and works collaboratively with the Women's Program Coordinator on project implementation.

    The (CPC) ensures all start-up activities are carried out within required timeframes.


    The CPC works with the Ness Center's Leadership team to ensure day-to-day functional operations meet or exceed outlined service provisions.

    Significant aspects of the work include operating under the direction of the Clinical Director for the grant programs' implementation;


    including overseeing the staff of onsite children's learning program for children of mothers participating in a long-term residential treatment program servicing pregnant and parenting women with children and be responsible for guiding the planning of curriculum philosophy, implementation, and environment design of the children's learning program.

    Implementation Duties/Responsibilities:

    ·

    Implement the PPW Childrens program under the director of the clinical director based on TNC PPW Proposal

    ·

    Assist the Clinical Director in reviewing resumes, interviews, and on-boarding and training of staff.

    ·

    Lead Childrens Program

    start-up efforts to ensure the program timelines are adhered to and met

    ·

    Ensure operations are effectively implemented based on direction from the clinical director

    ·


    Work directly with the WPC to ensure operational and clinical processes are implemented based on grant required activities and TNC PPW Proposal.

    Operational/Clinical Responsibilities:

    ·

    Ensure services are implemented based on TNC PPW Proposal for the minor children, fathers of the children, partners of the women, and the extended family members of the women and children, as requested by the woman and as appropriate, to include:

    ·


    therapeutic, comprehensive childcare for children during the periods in which the woman is engaged in therapy or in other necessary treatment activities.

    ·

    Services for the children that are gender, age, culture, and developmentally appropriate for the following age groups :

    birth to three; 2) four to six; 3) seven to ten; and 4) eleven to seventeen.

    ·


    Counseling/brief interventions for minor children or family members/other adults engaging in risky or hazardous drinking; and Evidence-based prevention program(s), including parenting intervention as per qualificaitons and licensure.

    ·

    Provide the following required supplemental services for minor children of the woman:

    ·

    Pediatric health care, including treatment for any perinatal effects of a maternal SUD.

    ·

    Screenings regarding the physical and mental development of infants and children.

    ·

    Counseling and other mental health services; and o Comprehensive social services as per qualifications.

    ·

    Implement the process in collaboration, under the direction of the clinical director for screening, assessment, and treatment planning

    ·

    Ensure Residential childrens program operations are in line with state licensing guidelines, fire marshal rules and federal guidelines

    ·


    Work directly with leadership and evaluator to ensure the electronic health record is updated with the ASAM 3.1 & 3.

    5 levels of care and programming

    Other Responsibilities:

    ·

    Partner with Clinical Director in facilitating regular staff meetings

    ·

    Perform program marketing, community outreach and education about The Ness Center's continuum

    ·

    Attend in-house community meetings to glean and relay ideas, concerns, and themes

    ·

    Participate in on-call and late day rotations as part of management oversight

    ·

    Ensure proper direct service staffing for program (within budget)

    ·

    Assist Leadership with budget development of the childrens program staffing and needs

    ·

    Maintain staffing schedule and utilization reports

    ·

    Complete related duties as needed or assigned

    Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience:

    associate degree in early childhood education and at least 45 college credits in early childhood education core competencies.

    Bachelor's degree highly desired.

    2 or more years' experience as a teacher in a licensed early learning program servicing young children (age 5 and younger), preferably with some experience with children with alcohol or drug exposure histories.

    Minimum of 6 months' experience in administration and management of an early learning program. Completion of required training within 6 months of hire for the Louisiana State Childhood Education Certification's required.


    Maintain Adult and Infant CPR & First Aid certificate, food handler's card and valid LA State Driver's license at all times.

    Physical Demands:

    Ability to walk up and down stairs as some program services or office spaces may be located on a second floor; Ability to safely operate a vehicle; Ability to complete desk work (e.g., typing, paperwork review, and/or operate at a computer station for extensive periods of time

    Work Demands/Environment:


    Available to work flexible hours across different aspects of The Ness Center (e.g., residential component is 24/7 and crisis intervention after hours may be needed; weekend hours for groups; staggered shift availability) standard ADL shifts are 12 hours per shift.

    The PPW CPC Work hours will vary to overlap some early mornings, late events and weekends, to monitor staff.

    **On call rotation required. Flexibility to work from or travel to and from various facilities as needed and telehealth may be required to effectively meet with others within the continuum located at multiple sites.
