- Bachelor's degree required, graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a nurse preferred.
- Previous experience with acute care preferred.
- CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training available post hire and offered by facility).
- Lead and develop the nursing staff within the unit, providing performance goals, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Schedule unit staff to assure 24/7 coverage
- Determine, assign, and assess performance objectives for nurses on the unit.
- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of all nursing personnel within the unit.
- Provide clinical leadership, strategic and long-term goals for the nurses on the unit.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate nursing services within the recovery unit.
- Responsible for the quality of care, staff's work and operational efficiency and effectiveness of the nursing unit.
- Set and carry out policies, goals and procedures for their function or department.
- Conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel for unit.

Center for Behavioral Health Maryland Heights - Our newly built state of the art acute geriatric 16 bed hospital will bring about a new vision in behavioral health care to the greater St. Louis area. NHC sees itself as a partner with the surrounding community as we provide psychiatric care to geriatric patients who require inpatient hospitalization due to cognitive illnesses as a result of stroke or dementia and other mental health disorders.
