Catering Assistant (60) Catering Assistant Ref: Job Information Division: Edwards & Blake Advert Closing Date: 13/02/2022 Number of Hours:Part-time Salary:8.91 Per hour Contract Type:Permanent Location:Norfolk, NR18 9QJ Working Environment Working at a small primary school serving lunches to the pupils. The day starts at one of our nearby secondary schools helping to prepare the food before transporting it to the nearby primary school (transport provided) you will be working alongside another catering assistant to serve the pupils. Once lunch is over all is cleared away and then transported back to the secondary school for washing up and clearing away. Duties include serving pupils, washing up and clearing away after lunch. You will start and finish each day at the secondary school but main role will be at the primary school

Job Description Your key responsibilities as the Catering Assistant will consist of:

Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times

Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients

Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures

Operate the till point as required throughout service, ensuring correct procedures are used

Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures

Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures

**Working Pattern**: Monday to Friday 10.30am to 2.45pm hrs per week - Term time only

Skills and Experience The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Catering Assistant include:

Genuine interest in customer service excellence

A team player

Catering experience desirable but not essential
