The HRIS Functional Analyst is a member of Motiva's HR Data & Systems organization focused on the management, implementation, development and optimization of our Core Human Resources Learning, Talent, Recruiting, Performance, and Reporting cloud-based software.
Reporting to the HRIS Manager, the role oversees and coordinates all activities for the Workday system operations function serving all employees within the US and any additional countries added over time.
This position works closely with Motiva's HR, Operations, IT and Finance functional leads to design, develop, and deploy a Motiva's various Core HR application deliverables.
This individual is responsible for providing vision, leadership, strategic planning, project coordination and management while concurrently facilitating efficient HR Application systems operations to meet current and future business needs and ensure the HR/IT teams provides high quality customer service to Motiva employees, managers, and vendors.
Additionally, this role will work with functional Subject Matter Experts in support of system updates, break fixes, and enhancements, as part of their participation in Motiva's HR Systems Governance process.
This role must have knowledge of core design principals, common configuration and documentation activities, have "customer" facing experience, and a successful track record of delivering solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, document, test and implement assigned functional, data & reporting solutions for HR Applications
Focus on both new
configuration/enhancements
& optimizing current functional scope to ensure modern and efficient best practices for cloud technologies. Manage communications with internal & 3rd party vendors in partnership with functional owners
Develop and update documentation & audit processes to ensure compliance with MOTIVA policies and legislative requirements.
Support HR in overseeing consistency in service delivery, drive standardization, and share best practices across the organization.
Partner closely and develop strong relationships with COEs, HR, Finance, IT and the business to improve workflow efficiency and transactional experiences.
Ascertain future needs and develop/communicate to HR and IT to support the business.Promote proactive approaches to using technology to solve business needs/problems while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of systems and capabilities with MOTIVA internal customers.
Using project management skills, organize, plan and execute on assigned functional areas annual HR events/assigned projects and can respond to changes in the business and business strategyDeliver on assigned schedules to ensure project timelines are met, working within the release management schedule assigned
Contribute to user experience in a way that results in high customer satisfaction
Mentor and share best practices with new or more junior team members and complying with Motiva Application Audit and Security programs
Accountable for the development and achievement of joint HR/IT performance goals and the continuous improvement of HR service delivery
Experience and Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Human Resources or related field.
Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
5-7 years of SAAS ERP products such as Workday, SAP in setup, configuration, test, and administrative capability
Experience supporting the Human Resources or Payroll departments
Experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors
Experience conducting custom reporting solutions
Experience in a matrix and/or Shared Services environment with service level agreements and case management and governance and issue tracking is required.
Experience in translating functional requirements into appropriate design documentation and system specification developmentCapability of working within a delivery methodology and project guidelines
Strong technical problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Exceptional research skills and resourcefulness
Strong effective communication (written & verbal) for change management support, relationship building, presentation, and interpersonal skills required
Able work in a fast paced, fast-growth, high-energy environment and deal with multiple high priority activities concurrently
Collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders; i.e. developers, technical operations, and internal customers
Must be able to manage multiple priorities, think tactically as well as strategically, demonstrate objectivity, be results oriented, show initiative and creativity and have a bias for action.

Preferred Qualifications:
4-6 years implementing Recruiting, Learning, and HCM solutions with ERP software (Workday, SAP, Salesforce or other SaaS and On-Premise ERP systems)
2+ years of managed support experience
Proficiency in understanding and applying HR related laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, etc.) a plus
Experience in regulated industries (Oil/Gas, Pharma, Health Care) is a plus
