    We have teamed up with a financial company in the New York area to seek a Senior Operational Planning Analyst. Below are the key qualifications and job responsibilities. If this sounds like a fit for you, get in touch!

    Key Qualifications for the Senior Operational Planning Analyst:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics or equivalent, with minimum 7 years experience in a financial institution
    • Business Analyst background necessary
    • Familiarity with global and local banking regulations such as BIS and FED regulations, especially in operational risk management
    • Knowledge of accounting standards like IFRS, US GAAP, and banking practices
    • Audit skills and understanding of internal control frameworks like COSO
    • Experience in project management or as a business consultant
    • Proficient in testing and mapping various business processes

    Responsibilities of the Senior Operational Planning Analyst:

    • Provide support to develop the operational planning section for the Americas Division
    • Analyze operational risks/controls and propose solutions based on internal control knowledge
    • Understand strategic goals, assign resources, and drive actionable steps for added value
    • Manage operational risks in the Americas Division through the PDCA cycle
    • Develop, automate, and enhance workflows for improved business efficiency and risk mitigation
    • Prepare strategic plans to bolster business efficiency and mitigate operational risks
    • Liaise with IT for system enhancements and tools development
    • Lead internal controllers group to improve operational risk control
    • Collaborate on new projects to enhance operational efficiency and resilience
    • Communicate with stakeholders and contribute to operational risk management committees
    • Assist in team management and annual planning
    • Administer user access rights and information security control

    Requirements for the Senior Operational Planning Analyst:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics or equivalent, with minimum 7 years experience in a financial institution
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications and industry-specific technology systems
    • Business Analyst experience essential, business intelligence and analytical skills valued
    • Understanding of global and local banking regulations, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks required
    • Logical approach to problem-solving and collaboration
    • Effective communication and influencing skills for key stakeholders
    • Testing and mapping experience with business processes and protocols

    Other Key Requirements:

    • Hybrid work model (3 days in the office per week)
    • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
