It also opens up the professional perspective of self-employment as a speech therapist with their own practice.


In the vocational training to become a speech therapist, you will acquire all the necessary knowledge to treat various voice and speech disorders after successfully completing the state examination as a certified speech therapist.

Areas of application for speech therapy include speech development disorders due to early childhood hearing and brain development disorders, pronunciation errors and speech disorders due to organic changes.

As a speech therapist, you will also deal with disorders of speech flow, speech disorders after injuries, surgeries and brain diseases, as well as functional and psychogenic voice disorders.
