  • About The Job
    Dudek is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in environmental health and safety and will assist the management team for ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

    Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below):
  • Develop and maintain OSHA Log and all appropriate documentation and logs are posted at every Dudek Office.
  • Tracking metrics and ensuring compliance with the Safety Dashboard, including Good Catch, Near Miss, First-aid, Recordables, and MVIs.
  • Conducting incident investigations (e.g., injuries, incidents, MVI's, good catch/near miss) for various practices.
  • Inputting and maintaining all data, records, and trainings on client portals.
  • Coordinating with HR and Insurance regarding Incidents.
  • Tracking training requirements on client portals and assigning training as needed.
  • Providing safety documentation support for project planning.
  • Controlling all incident, and workers compensation documentation pertaining to Safety investigations.
  • Assist in EHS program development, review, and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of project paperwork and requirements.
  • Good problem-solving skills in dynamic and evolving safety culture.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental health and safety field.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation laws.
  • Basic understanding of Hazard recognition, controls, and program implementation.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment
  • * As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.

  • OSHA Certifications:
  • OSHA 510/511
  • OSHA 30 Hour
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • Associate degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • CHST / OHST or similar
  • Physical Requirements
    Working Conditions:
  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.
  • This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually as well as speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc. Speaking, hearing and listening are required.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Outdoor activity may involve walking/trekking in uneven terrain over long distances in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.

    Proposed Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year*

    *Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
