    SUMMARY

    Responsible for the administration and continued development and of DSSA Inc. accounting and finance programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Global regulation. Analyze and maintain accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards as well as maintaining current knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations. Emphasis of this position includes the responsibility for the overall planning, preparation and monitoring of all company financial budgets and forecasts while working simultaneously on multiple projects. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Manage, coordinate and summarize the annual forecast and budget preparation
    • Analyze monthly sales reports (units and revenue) by both customer and product type and determine any discrepancies
    • Organize and coordinate the preparation of the periodic profit and loss, sales and expense monthly and quarterly estimates and updates to existing budget
    • Prepare advanced Power Point presentations for executive management meetings
    • Maintain and update the Budget Maestro software database along with numerous excel spreadsheets used in the budget and forecasting process
    • Import and maintain actual and forecast financial results into Daicel Corporate consolidation system (DIVA)
    • Assist with the preparation of accounting and tax records for various government agencies and the annual audits
    • Respond promptly and professionally to information requests from both Daicel Corporate and MSG group
    • Research and develop written Finance Policies and Procedures to insure adequate internal controls and improve operating efficiencies
    • Assist department Managers in determining and analyzing monthly actual expense results against the department's budgeted amounts
    • Coordinate Finance department to ensure timely reporting.
    • Oversee specialized projects as needed

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Minimum educational experience requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other closely related field. CPA certification or Master's degree in a business related discipline highly preferred. Minimum experience required of 5+ years in accounting, financial analysis, planning and budgeting, etc. Experience in a multi-business unit manufacturing environment highly preferred. Familiarity with Syspro or other integrated ERP-based accounting system and Budget Maestro software experience is preferred. Experience with DIVA or other Japanese-based financial planning system is a plus.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     The individual must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of federal regulations related to global accounting applications. Strong financial skills and understanding of GAAP and SOX regulations required. Proven experience in establishing and communicating policies, procedures and best practices, and strong project management experience. Must be able to understand, analyze, and effectively interpret advanced business, finance, and accounting principles. The individual is required to prepare and write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with an emphasis on spreadsheet preparation, presentation preparation and a working knowledge of Syspro, Budget Maestro and DIVA is highly preferred. The individual must have excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organization skills as well as be detail oriented. Must also be able to effectively prioritize the workload and work professionally in a team oriented environment as well as be available to work days, evenings, or weekends, overtime, and travel domestically and internationally as required.

    Ability to define and solve practical and complicated finance related problems, collect data, establish facts, and make appropriate recommendations and decisions. Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret policies, laws, federal regulations and global regulations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close inspection, identification of objects from a distance, color determination, peripheral detection, depth judgment, and the ability to identify details in varying conditions.
