    Overview:

    Motrexs Network Operation Center is responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining internal and external networks. We are looking for an experienced Manager who will lead a Network Engineering team, External NOC, Network Service Provider, and vendors. The Network Operations team is responsible for delivering secure, reliable network at scale. As a senior member of the team, you have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our Network running smoothly. You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components, and responding to network connectivity issues. Motrex's complex network generates a constant stream of challenges which require you to continually be innovative with an evolving set of technologies. Keeping the network reliable ensures that our users stay connected with our suite of applications, products, and services. As a Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing critical network infrastructure programs and features to keep our systems running smoothly. You will partner closely with the Business, Information security, Applications, and IT Infrastructure team to ensure the designs and solutions are secure, efficient, and address our business requirements. You will make continual improvements to ensure Motrexs network infrastructure meets the needs of our business. Network Operations Manager is expected to understand and articulate business operational processes, manage security Network Operations tools, implement new technology, and evaluate the current Network infrastructure landscape and provide appropriate reports. You will be responsible to follow Motrex Information security policy and manage all aspects of network security within the organization, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

    • Lead the operations strategy portfolio of programs.
    • Identify broad problems and translate these into projects and work with the team.
    • Lead business operations for the operations organization which includes managing the annual budget planning process as well as ongoing re-planning as needed.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure development of end-to-end network solutions for Motrex.
    • Build a team of Subject Matter Experts in the Network Operations with emphasis to perform advance operation troubleshooting, Outage handling, driving RCAs, and provide technical inputs into Change Advisory Board meetings.
    • Ensures responsibilities are assigned to a back-up resource to cover planned or unplanned absences in coordination with the Program Manager.
    • Assist with prioritizing projects & incidents according to their urgency and impact on the business.
    • Provide oversite and guidance to team of technical professionals responsible for supporting Network infrastructure operations.
    • Provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, WAN, Voice, and Video) requirements and orders:
    • Provide in-depth operational analysis of the Network and recommendations for IT alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts.
    • Manage Outages, Emergencies, and Escalations. Lead technical troubleshooting in collaboration with other IT functions and Vendors.
    • Collaborate and escalate issues with the Service providers and Vendor teams when Critical/time-sensitive support and resolution is needed.
    • Manage chronic problems with respective service providers and vendors.
    • Manage outage and emergencies, including the agreed assurance KPIs & SLAs.
    • Responsible for the management of network performance and end-to-end service quality for the network infrastructure.
    • Reviews and analyzes overall end-to-end network performance to maintain an acceptable level of network quality of service as per business objectives, predefined network Key Performance Indicators, and established SLAs.
    • Leads and participates in the assessment and selection of the network performance and management tools/systems for existing and new network technologies and services.
    • Provides support to end users, operations personnel, and technical subject-matter expert.
    • Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems. Own responsibility for end-to-end monitoring of the network.
    • Support site monitoring/health checks following maintenance activities (CRs)
    • Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities.
    • Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
    • Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network.
    • Maintain the security of network systems by following security practices, applying regular updates and security patching.
    • Planning and designing (network architecting) data communication networks.
    • Presenting network designs and plans to management staff.
    • Overseeing the network installation and implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets.
    • Implementing upgrades to network hardware and software as needed.
    • Performing maintenance and repairs to network equipment.
    • Creating, drafting, and upkeeping of network documentation, including drawings, descriptions, and configurations.
    • Researching network technologies and staying up to date on relevant advancements in the field.
    • Provide inputs on project status to business analyst for status reporting.
    • Provide regular network operation reports.
    • Candidate must demonstrate understanding of Incident, Change, Problem and Request management practices.
    • Work in close collaboration across multiple functions.
    • Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Technology degree
    • 12+ years experience working in an IT Industry
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in Network Operations
    • One or more professional certifications CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, and/or CCDP are required.
    • Preferred certifications CompTIA Security + Certification, ITIL
    • Routing and switching/Firewall (FW)/load balancing.
    • Working understanding of the OSi model
    • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and the functions of NW technologies
    • Working understanding of NW security devices, IPsec VPNs, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VRF, VLANS, Bandwidth Utilization, and Load Balancers
    • Knowledge of IP routing, protocols and transport, software systems /services running virtualized functions
    • Strong understanding of BGP and ISIS routing protocols
    • Strong understanding of SR-MPLS, and L2/L3VPN technologies.
    • Good understanding of Transport technologies & OSI reference model
    • Understanding of cloud network and security
    • Professional experience working with Cisco and network service.
    • Candidate must be capable to setup tools and capture, mine and interpret data from Wireshark, Syslog, to maintain and restore overall network health.
    • Ready and willing for on-call availability to support critical events.
    • Excelled network security architecture skills.
    • Self-starting, eager to learn and master new responsibilities.
    • Experience with Networking components and server infrastructure
    • Able to organize and prioritize dynamic schedules, balance teamwork loads and ensure incidents are managed quickly and efficiently to resolution.
    • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
    • Self-motivated, achievement-oriented with excellent people management skills and an ability to perform challenging tasks individually with ease.
    • Motivated to grasp higher-level technology issues and troubleshoot to resolution.

    Abilities/Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of network architecture and principles.
    • Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting network architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans.
    • Experience with common information security & compliance management frameworks, such as ITIL, NIST, SOC2, and ISO
    • Basic understanding of business applications and financial systems.
    • Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls.
    • Excellent technical knowledge of a wide range of network technologies.
    • Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
    • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
    • Project management experience is preferred.

    • Required: English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret requirements documents, industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, or suppliers.
