    What You Will Be Doing


    The Director of Security and Asset Protection is responsible for the development and implementation of programs policies and procedures to ensure the physical safety of employees, contractors, vendors, property and assets owned and leased by the organization.

    Manage the development, oversight and execution of security operations and programs, at different factories, offices and job sites at local and regional levels.

    Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring physical security operations teams.

    Essential Job Functions and responsibilities.


    • Ability to identify risk and define mitigation measures with a proactive mindset, recommendations to neutralize or mitigate them to senior management. Ensure risks are considered in general business changes and expansions.
    • Must have credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of the business
    • Strategic program development, build relationships with team members, peers, and business leaders and willingness to challenge status quo, innovate, and introduce new ideas.
    • Adhere to, and ensure adherence to, all Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance, risk management, and ethics policies and procedures.
    • Utilize Loss Prevention Audit Tools to analyze financial reports and inventory systems data to ensure operational integrity, identify exception trends, minimize exposure and identify training, development and loss prevention opportunities.
    • Maintain logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures to: Monitor Physical Security, Security Systems, Inventory Controls, Theft and Fraud; Conduct Internal Investigations, surveillance,
    • Use appropriate tools to conduct effective investigation, CCTV/Surveillance, access and Inventory Controls, measuring Compliance to Policies Begin Internal Audit Strategy, utilize Crime Index and Industry Statistics, Physical Security Program/Policies.
    • Execute periodic site visits to perform internal and external threat assessments, training, and investigations.
    • Maintain professional liaison with all local law enforcement officials to ensure appropriate coordination of investigations and/or prosecutions; Represent the company in court proceedings in a professional manner if needed.
    • Create, conduct, and/or coordinate Risk Management training and awareness programs to positively impact the company's profitability goals and objectives.
    • To accommodate business needs and management objectives other duties may be assigned by management.
    Required Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree in risk management, Business, Finance, Criminal Justice or related field and completion of professional development such as investigative courses, military security clearance, or Loss Prevention Certification (LPC) preferred
    • Master's degree in risk management, Business, Finance, Criminal Justice or related field preferred, equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 5 years' progressive experience in risk management within construction, manufacturing, distribution environments, with an emphasis on controlling and reducing exposures and expenses through proactive risk management strategies. Requires high level of computer literacy, including expertise in Excel, Outlook and Word; experience desired.
    • Requires strong ability to utilize financial reports and data analysis to identify and resolve internal losses; experience using Loss Prevention/Operational Audits to verify compliance with current policies preferred; experience using CCTV investigative techniques desired.
    • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, motivate others, and act as a change agent, strong team management, delegation, issue resolution, and coaching and training skills.
    • Project management and financial statement analysis
