- Performing field testing of plastic concrete, soils, bituminous, or masonry products.
- Perform field density tests of soils.
- Perform field testing of plastic concrete.
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Perform miscellaneous site tasks as directed by the project manager.
- Communicate with clients, general construction contractors, and/or ready-mix suppliers.
- Perform laboratory testing of soils, concrete, and masonry products.
- Perform other laboratory tests and calibrations as directed.
- Reporting test results.
- Maintain AET's productivity standards.
- Must provide quality of service and work product that meets or exceeds AET's expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
- 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain registration preferred.
- Maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrated knowledge of company procedures, regulations and standards that govern practices within the specialty area.
- Ability to achieve professional registration (PE).
- Knowledge of and skill in using equipment related to the project.
- Skill in accurately analyzing and effectively communicating test data/results to appropriate parties.
- Communication skills sufficient to work effectively with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to interact successfully with a wide variety of people, work effectively within project teams, resolve issues and problems in a constructive manner, and work independently in the field.

Job Description
Job DescriptionJob SummaryWith supervision, perform field and laboratory quality control testing of various construction materials. Perform a variety of field and lab tests per AET QA Procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and safety. The services provided within the company are performed to the standards of our industry including ASTM, ASIC, and ACI as well as state laws governing professional services. All services will be performed in accordance with AET's QA/QC procedures.

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This position also may require field work in outdoor conditions on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
