- The primary purpose of this position is to provide the professional expertise required to ensure Group programs, approaches, and analytical assessments ensure the fulfillment of mission objectives. Further, the Group Deputy serves as the Group Commander in the Group Commander's absence, responsible for leading the execution of the WM Group's mission.
- Manages key Group functions, including specified planning and programming activities, for the initiation and production of general military and scientific and technical intelligence for all consumers.
- Provides analytic guidance and expertise to the Group, Squadrons, Flights, contractor partners, and other government agencies on all aspects of Networked Weapons and Modeling Group analysis, production, and administrative processes.
- Represents the Group on the Wing's advocacy and decision-making bodies and coordinates on Wing-wide intelligence planned production and enterprise operations.
- Oversees Group personnel resources ensuring accountability of resources from both a manning and budget/programming perspective.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- A strong background and knowledge of a wide field directly applicable to intelligence analysis is required, a strong background and knowledge in a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to intelligence assessments and threat analysis of foreign aerospace is required, and knowledge and experience in multi-source intelligence integration.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering, technology, and systems acquisition is highly desired; as is knowledge of aeronautical engineering, systems/programs, systems architectures, design and technology, policies, concepts, practices and methodology found on both the federal government and private industry.
- Knowledge of Contracting Program Management responsibilities; and understanding of contract administration and termination techniques sufficient to administer and close out contracts.
- High degree of technical competence, judgment, leadership, creativity, and intellectual resourcefulness; and ability to make decisions in many areas of uncertainty in approach, methodology, or interpretation resulting from constant program changes, technological development, or conflicting requirements.
- Ability to apply a wide range of knowledge and skills to the development of new methods, approaches, and procedures.
- Ability to quickly and expertly evaluate intelligence papers, briefings, and discussions to determine relevance of the materials to the mission of the Group; and ability to communicate with and influence people at all levels of government.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- This position requires the Defense All-Source Analysis Certification (CDASA). This certification must be obtained within 24 month once employee meets certification eligibility requirements.
- Incumbent is required to undergo a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
- Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.

As a NASIC employee, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of experts, working together to solve technical challenges. Employee will serve as an Intelligence Group Deputy Director and enable complex technical analysis/modeling of weapons systems and using multiple intelligence sources in support of customer requirements. This position is specifically within the Networked Weapons and Modeling Group (WM). The primary purpose of this position is to provide the professional expertise required to ensure Group programs, approaches, analytical assessments and models ensure the fulfillment of mission objectives.
