    Description

    Overview As a Systems Security Threat Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating threats to AFRL systems and networks.

    You will work with a team of security professionals to develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks and other security threats.

    You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and for conducting ongoing assessments of the DoD's security posture.

    Responsibilities * Conduct ongoing assessments of the systems and networks to identify potential security threats * Analyze threat intelligence data to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities * Develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks, malware, and other security threats * Collaborate with other security professionals to design and implement security controls, processes, and procedures * Participate in security incident response activities and investigations * Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and advise management on their potential impact on the DoD's security posture * Develop and deliver training programs to educate DoD personnel on security best practices Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems security threat analysis, preferably in a DoD environment * Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPNs * Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks, such as NIST and ISO * Experience with threat intelligence tools and techniques, including malware analysis and reverse engineering * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders * Active Secret clearance or above * Active Security+ (or 8570 equivalent)
