Nesco Resource is working with a premier manufacturing employer in the Wallingford area to find a Strategic Project Buyer to join their team
If you experience have sourcing and qualifying vendors for electronic components and you want to join a growing international team, this may be the opportunity for you.

Here's what a typical day looks like:

Strategic sourcing of new vendors for electronic components; responsible for early stages of supplier relationship.
Thoroughly evaluating new and existing vendors for capability, quality and other standards.
Determining if parts should be purchased or made.
Working with a cross-functional international team on complex projects.
Assisting with contractual and purchase agreements with suppliers.

A successful candidate will have:

Knowledge of sourcing, pricing and risk analysis as it relates to the procurement of electronic components.
Project management and collaboration skills with teams in different locations.
Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process.
Ability to travel to supplier sites as necessary; 20-25% with international travel 1 – 2 times/year.
Possess a self-driven personality with the initiative to get things done with minimal supervision.
Experience with ERP systems & MS Office.

Direct hire with benefits
Salary range $ K depending on education/experience
