    Position Description

    Human Resources Administrator

    Dawson Construction, LLC is searching for a Human Resources Administrator to join our Bellingham, WA office.

    This position is responsible for the daily workflow and accurate data entry for all employee data, benefits and leave administration, employee relations, compliance, reporting, best practices, and enforcing company policies and practices.


    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Processes & Documentation:
    Ensures all HR related processes are followed and effective, including talent acquisition and talent management, including talent development and support throughout the employee lifecycle


    Policy:

    Responsible for providing proactive feedback on the employee handbooks, documents, processes, and maintaining HR standard operating procedures, tailoring them to meet business specific needs and changes.


    Benefits & Leave Administration:

    Coordinates the benefits and leaves of absence processes, including working closely with the third-party administrator and vendors, recommending changes to benefits offered, presenting and organizing benefit related events such as open enrollment and monthly learning, enrollments, terminations, tracking eligibility, reconciliation, invoice approval, and audits.

    Eventually becomes the benefits and leave administration subject matter expert.

    Compliance/Data Management:

    Maintains all employee data accurately in the HRIS, identification of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, benefits and leave administration; employment law; makes recommended changes as needed.

    Adheres to all policies/processes and federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance, fairness, and consistency; and required reporting.

    Provide employee and leadership support such as coaching, counseling, career development, and performance management. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements


    Education & Experience:
    Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field.
    3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably with benefits.
    Experience with federal and state compliance requirements and reporting. Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated skill with employment-related laws and regulations.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    $ $28.00 per hour
