Growing investment firm located in Beverly Hills looking to hire Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of value-add apartment buildings throughout Los Angeles.
This role would be great for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to oversee all forms of operations and work with 3rd party managers to make sure business plan objectives are met.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee monthly financial review of portfolio of assets
Respond to routine and ad hoc repairs at properties, oversee greater renovation, capex, and ADU projects
Attend inspections and aide in underwriting new acquisitions
Review leasing process and marketing of units
Implement insurance and lender suggested repairs
Negotiate and review renovation and remodeling quotes
Prepare buildings for refinancing and disposition
Primary Requirements
5-10 years in property management or asset management of multifamily properties (experience with Los Angeles rent control preferred)
Ability to review and audit financial statements
Working knowledge of repair invoices and renovation prices for apartment units
Rudimentary Excel modeling skills in order to make investment decisions
Some familiarity with reading building plans and working with architects is a plus
The successful candidate will report directly to the owner and will have the support of an associate and admin.
The Asset Manager needs to be organized, flexible and results oriented with a deep understanding of the Los Angeles apartment market.
The company uses 3rd party property management companies so this opportunity provides a unique opportunity to focus on strategy and high value items as opposed to the more mundane side of property management.
