    Job Description

    R&M Fabrication performs truck upfitting of many different types with our own Rugged Custom Truck Body design or Flow Boy Asphalt transporter by (Hi-Way) as well as custom design work to meet the needs of our customers. We also build complete trailers to our customers specifications and upfit as required. The Company has immediate openings at our Wyoming location for TRUCK EQUIPMENT UPFITTERS AND AFTERMARKET SPECIALISTS with welding / fabricating experience. We offer a team focused, clean and safe work environment.

    We prefer an individual who has a certificate or technical training in mechanics and truck repair. We are willing to work with any mechanical professional that has knowledge of aftermarket upfit products, air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems. We require a candidate who would also have welding and or fabrication experience as these techniques are needed when making repairs on equipment. Performing work on DIESEL ENGINES NOT REQUIRED.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay ranging from $ $30.00 per hour. Based on experience

    Preferred Knowledge in these areas:

    -Hydraulics

    -Welding/Fabricating Experience

    -Hydraulics Experience

    -Diagnose and repair air and electrical systems

    -Perform DOT inspections

    -Perform PM services

    -Wire / Plumb trailers

    -Install dump bodies/ flatbeds to new and used equipment

    -Upfit trucks and trailers

    Wheel Base Adjustments, Air Lift Axle Installation

    Responsibilities & Duties

    • Diagnose issues
    • Troubleshoot and repair ABS system.
    • Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, brake adjustments/services/replacements, electrical diagnostics, basic structural repairs on trailer chassis, sub-frames, etc.
    • Test equipment and systems for performance
    • Replace parts
    • Understand and demonstrate the proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment and perform repairs on chassis, frames, brackets, etc.
    • Properly document damage to equipment
    • Document repairs
    • Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures

    Requirements: Essential Skills & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Mechanical experience
    • Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems preferred.
    • Experience with various hand tools
    • Physical strength and stamina
    • Welding and fabrication experience required
