Responsibilities Direct and manage plant operations for production, engineering, food safety, and production control.Develop the manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
Formulate and recommend manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate.Direct and monitor Supervisors, Production Leads and Operators to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing, budgetary and safety procedures.
Act as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as, executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results.
Implement cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
Work effectively and relate well with others. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, working to maintain constructive working relationships.
Keep current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
Follow the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food standards (SQF) and safety rules including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Expectations Able to manage working in a diverse environment.
Conflict managementAbility to communicate effectively.Critical thinking and decision makingExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Hearing and Visual skills.
Proficient in Microsoft office:
Word, Excel, TeamsAbility to lead, train and motivate staff.
RequirementsEducation & Training Requirements BA/BS in industrial, mechanical or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in a related field.
Work Experience Requirements 5+ years' experience in manufacturing leadershipUSDA experienced preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull.
Lifting requirements are 25lb regularly and up to 50lb occasionally. Exposure to variation in temperatureWorking with uncooked, cooked, frozen products. Salary Description $95,000 - $115,000
