- Design, install, operate, and maintain advanced countermeasures systems, focusing on overseas diplomatic facilities.
- Build and configure countermeasures ensuring proper functionality and operation.
- Manage hardware and software configuration changes to maintain system interoperability.
- Provide comprehensive technical support across all phases of countermeasures systems, including pre-installation, installation, and post-installation stages.
- Coordinate and prepare technical reports and summaries for both pre- and post-assignment documentation.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of new countermeasure systems and testing equipment.
- Train Department of State personnel on the installation, maintenance, and operation of countermeasure technologies.
- Perform independent research on emerging technologies and conduct necessary laboratory or field tests.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing technical security policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate logistical aspects related to travel and site support for system installations and maintenance.
- Must hold a current U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
- Minimum of two years' experience in power engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT), security systems, and contemporary security challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and creating electrical and electromechanical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of single and triple phase power systems.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, C++, or other programming languages.
- Normal office environment with occasional travel required.
- May require travel both within and outside the U.S., including locations with critical threat levels.
- 15% to 40% travel, including potential assignments in high-threat international environments.
