- Conduct standard soil, aggregate, and asphalt tests, including but not limited to Atterberg limits, moisture content analysis, grain size assessments, unconfined compressive strength tests, and Marshall Properties.
- Ensure the upkeep and organization of laboratory equipment and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory workspace.
- Assist in the proper logging, storage, and disposal of soil samples, adhering to established protocols.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned, supporting the laboratory's various operational needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce technical documentation effectively.
- Proficiency in computer usage, especially for data analysis and reduction.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and show initiative while respecting the limits of your experience.
- Familiarity with diverse exploratory and laboratory techniques related to geotechnical engineering.
- Comfort withstanding for extended periods of time as part of laboratory procedures.
