    Description

    CV Resources has partnered with a rapidly expanding company operating in the dynamic and exciting renewable energy sector in the search for a Staff Accountant This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization with ample room for professional growth and development. * This is a hybrid position (3x a week onsite)*

    Position Overview: As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the finance department, focusing on complex Accounts Payable, AR aging, and month/year-end reconciliation and close processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance and possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Handle Accounts Payable duties with a focus on construction-related procurement and project coordination.
    • Manage customer invoicing processes, including transmission and recording across multiple platforms.
    • Monitor accounts receivable and initiate follow-up on overdue balances.
    • Maintain customer profiles, project details, and sales orders in the accounting system.
    • Prepare and dispatch lien waivers as required.
    • Reconcile monthly financial statements for bank deposits, loans, and credit cards.
    • Manage vendor setup, invoice processing, and resolution of discrepancies.
    • Oversee Accounts Payable aging reports and employee expense filings for timely payments.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, travel guidelines, and expense regulations.
    • File commercial taxes, handle annual 1099 reporting, and maintain Fixed Asset Module in NetSuite.
    • Analyze and post journal entries, support monthly financial analysis, and assist with year-end audit and budgeting processes.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting practices.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in the renewable energy or construction sector (preferred but not required).
