Summary
As a Compliance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our company's integrity.

Under the supervision of the Compliance Director and CEO, you will coordinate compliance standards to ensure our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the Compliance Director in enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business and providing support on compliance matters.

You will also assist in developing and implementing compliance with all local, state, and federal agencies and all other applicable rules and regulations.

Your working knowledge of legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices will be instrumental in this role. We are looking for professionals of high ethical standards who work diligently to complete their duties considering business objectives.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in compliance coordination
  • Experience in staff inservice training.
  • Working knowledge of computer case management.
  • General knowledge of 12step programs and principles.
  • Familiarity with operations, financial, quality assurance, CARF, and Human Resource procedures and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations
  • Working knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
  • Working knowledge in organization and planning abilities
  • An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • If a recovering person has a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety and active participation in a recovery program.

Responsibilities:


  • Support the Compliance Director in developing, initiating, maintaining, and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
  • Support the Compliance Director in the following: Develops, periodically reviews, and updates Standards of conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to the CEO and employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, etc.) to support compliance issues in appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures as directed by the Compliance Director. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.
  • Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure compliance issues/concerns within the organization are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
  • Monitor and, as necessary, coordinates compliance with Compliance Director activities throughout the organization to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and identify trends.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans to resolve problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future with the Compliance Director.
  • Provide reports, as directed by the Compliance Director, to keep the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
  • Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required as directed by the Compliance Director.
  • Support and maintain an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) use of the Compliance Hotline, (b) heightened awareness of Standards of conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Compliance Director, Administrative Director, HR department, and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees and ongoing training for all employees and managers.
  • Support the Compliance Director in monitoring the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis and taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

Education:


  • Certification from CCAPP or CADTP preferred
