- Oversee day-to-day outsourced financial functions; closely monitor and manage external resources.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
- Review and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the outsourced team and internal team to streamline processes, implement best practices, and drive efficiencies.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making processes and long-term planning.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business goals.
- Assess and communicate financial risks and opportunities, contributing to the development of growth strategies.
- Contribute to business initiatives, investment opportunities, and cost-saving strategies to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and financial reporting standards.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and filings.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and filings.
- Using comprehensive financial reports and analysis, identify trends, risks, and opportunities for executive leadership.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide guidance for professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or CMA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller, preferably within the beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Strong proficiency in financial software and the Sage X3 ERP system; advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
