    Description

    Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst at Nakupuna Consulting

    Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team, providing professional services to the Office of Secretary of Defense within the Department of Defense (DoD). This role involves working with a team to handle financial management and budget support for programs under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition and Sustainment, Industrial Base Policy (OUSD(A&S)/IBP).

    Responsibilities

    • Provide financial management and analytical support to IBP staff, leadership, and Assistant Secretary of Defense for IBP (ASD/IBP)
    • Offer analysis in support of IBP offices and activities' financial management
    • Coordinate, support, and analyze budget submissions for assigned activities
    • Track and report funds execution of assigned programs, projects, and PEs
    • Communicate with Government personnel to identify program issues impacting budget execution
    • Develop reports, presentation material, and prepare official correspondence
    • Assist with budget exhibit preparation and review
    • Support financial and acquisition management internal controls

    Qualifications

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience supporting programming and budgeting processes
    • Experience in financial metrics analysis, planning, and presentation
    • Strong familiarity with Defense Business Systems
    • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills

    Education and Experience:

    • 10 or more years of relevant experience and a Master's degree is required
    • Experience in defense financial management and budget
    • Experience supporting Defense Acquisition Program and Portfolio analysis is desirable
    • Experience supporting OSD is preferred
    • Certified Defense Financial Manager certification and/or Certified Government Financial Manager certification is preferred

    Clearance: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
