Job Summary:

Required Education/Experience:

Associate degree and a minimum of two years direct scheduling experience or a minimum of five years of direct scheduling experience.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

LEAN manufacturing principles
Ability to think critically and theoretically

Responsibilities:

Gather sort, review, verify and enter a wide range of production related statistics to track and record productivity, efficiency, material utilization, capacity and similar data for use in planning and reporting.
Prepare press schedules in consideration of product and shipping requirements, equipment capabilities and capacities, die and material availability, yield optimization, staffing schedules and similar factors. Print and distribute schedules. Enter and calculate order changes and schedule updates to schedule and communicate changes to affected departments. Calculate and communicate open capacity.
Track orders through system to ensure shipping meets with schedules. Determine and report on causes of late shipments.
Perform closing routines to close out records for the period and prepare any range of production related periodic or special reports, charts and documentation as requested.
Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
Generate production inventory reports and assist production departments in resolving inventory control issues.
Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required or directed, to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions.
Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards.
Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
