Job DescriptionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED.
10 years experience through a combination of the following: Supervision, Construction Management, Right of Way, Clearance Process, Computer spreadsheet/database, and administration
Bachelor's Degree in stem field or equivalent experience
Requires a Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review.)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Coordinates W/WW employees in meeting regulatory compliance timelines as it relates to the NPDES Permit.
Direct staff effectiveness by consulting, training, and recommending corrective action for employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job task and results in a timely manner.
Develops and tracks regulatory compliance milestone and ensures W/WW team achieve targets and goals.
Coordinates update activities, meetings, data sharing with management.
Coordinates broader tasks, projects, goals, development, and work production.
Oversees the management of personnel, which includes work allocation, time approval, hiring, training, orientation, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Develops measurable performance expectations for assigned staff according to department goals and objectives.
Establishes, implements, and communicates goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with strategic plans and applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and regulatory agencies.
Hosts regular staff meetings to ensure communication between personnel and program related activities.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing and administering annual budget, presenting, and justifying budget recommendations to appropriate personnel. Assists with all Division and District budget formulation, review, and submittal.
Guides, instructs, or directs District and Division Management staff on assignments and requested action or reporting. Interacts with Managers on routine required reporting and performance measures
Participates in development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned
programs; recommends policies and procedures; provide input in the development and administration of programs budgets; prepares written or statistical reports using computer software (including tables, charts, graphs) to disseminate, interpret, or explain information to outside agency staff, facility operations, governmental agencies, customers, and/or the public.
Guides, instructs, or directs District and Division Management staff on DGM assignments and requested action or reporting. Interacts with Managers on routine required reporting and performance measures.
Monitor regulatory requirements and coordinates response; interact and communicate with regulatory agencies in person and in writing.
Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting.
Provides progress and status reports to supervisor. Provide data and information to GM and DGM management for the decision-making process.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside agencies, and the public.
Reports to the Principal Engineer. While the Principal Engineer will provide direction on complicated tasks and department goals, this position requires minimal direction to complete day-to-day operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
