    Job Title: In-House Bookkeeper and Controller


    Company Overview:


    One of a Kind Restoration, a distinguished full-service restoration company, specializes in Emergency Services (EMS), Contents Handling, and Reconstruction. Managing around 60 projects monthly and processing approximately 1200 bank transactions, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and quality.

    Job Summary:


    We are seeking a seasoned and adept Bookkeeper and Controller. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, guiding accounting operations, and safeguarding the financial health of our organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and financial processing, including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial ledgers.
    • Produce precise financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Work with department heads for budget development and management.
    • Perform financial analyses to inform business decisions and strategies.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for audit preparations.
    • Implement and uphold robust internal financial controls and procedures.
    • Actively report to and collaborate with the CEO to ensure financial strategies and decisions are aligned with the company's goals and directives. Provide timely insights and financial advice that supports executive decision-making.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Computer Science/ Business, or a related field.
    At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial management, preferably within the restoration or a similar industry.
    Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
    Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    Experienced in managing payroll and knowledgeable about payroll taxes and regulations.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
    Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
    Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
    Preferred Qualifications:

    CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification.
    Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
    Knowledge of the restoration industry and its unique financial needs.
