Under general direction of the Assistant Chief Information Officer of DIR in the Office of Information Services (OIS), the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I) performs managing, coordination, technical project delivery, reporting and support over the full range of activities involving DIR's Cal/OSHA project.

The section includes the Project Management, Technical Delivery and Reporting activities.

Working Conditions

This position is located in Oakland.


The Information Technology Manager I will be expected to work in a high-rise office building in downtown Oakland, and optionally hybrid telework with at least two days in the office required.

Office is within walking distance of public transportation. Requires some occasional traveling and in some cases overnight traveling to DIR offices within the California State.

The Oakland office of OIS is located in a pleasant office environment, with proximity to shopping areas and restaurants.

It is a close walking distance from the 12th Street BART station, and a BART voucher is part of the benefits package.

There is a secure bicycle parking area in the building garage. On Fridays, there is a farmers' market within walking distance.

DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
