Responsibilities:


Responsibilities:


  • Reviews Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for FAR, DFAR's compliance and overall value.
  • Develops procurement strategy across multiple commodities.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fastpaced environment while leading by example.
  • Effectively serve as first point of escalation to resolve pricing, lead time, and schedule challenges with suppliers while pulling in technical resources as needed to solve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for pricing agreements and Long Term Agreements.
  • Provide guidance on effective source selections to ensure compliant awards.
  • Utilize metrics and KPIs to effectively evaluate supplier performance.
  • Expedites material to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Performs price analysis as needed.
  • Ability to present to senior leadership team as needed.
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers as needed.
  • Ability to work with peers across different businesses to leverage spend.
  • Participate in CAES Supply Chain initiatives to drive business efficiencies any buying synergies.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in purchasing and/or government procurement.
  • 3+ Years supervisor/management role in purchasing and/or government procurement.
  • Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, and risk mitigation strategies
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree and 8 + years' experience in government and/or commercial contracting
  • Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS regulations
  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MRP systems.
