Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Reviews Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for FAR, DFAR's compliance and overall value.
- Develops procurement strategy across multiple commodities.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fastpaced environment while leading by example.
- Effectively serve as first point of escalation to resolve pricing, lead time, and schedule challenges with suppliers while pulling in technical resources as needed to solve complex technical issues.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies for pricing agreements and Long Term Agreements.
- Provide guidance on effective source selections to ensure compliant awards.
- Utilize metrics and KPIs to effectively evaluate supplier performance.
- Expedites material to ensure ontime delivery.
- Performs price analysis as needed.
- Ability to present to senior leadership team as needed.
- Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers as needed.
- Ability to work with peers across different businesses to leverage spend.
- Participate in CAES Supply Chain initiatives to drive business efficiencies any buying synergies.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience in purchasing and/or government procurement.
- 3+ Years supervisor/management role in purchasing and/or government procurement.
- Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, and risk mitigation strategies
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree and 8 + years' experience in government and/or commercial contracting
- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS regulations
- Aerospace and Defense industry experience
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MRP systems.
