- Accurately assess damage to vehicles and determine the cost of repairs
- Consult with customers and provide detailed and transparent estimates for repair work
- Ensure all estimates adhere to industry standards and comply with insurance guidelines
- Document all repairs and maintain accurate records in our computer system
- Communicate with insurance companies on behalf of customers to process claims and ensure timely payment
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize repairs and meet deadlines
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technological advancements in order to provide accurate and competitive estimates
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions from customers regarding their vehicle repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive repair is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an automotive body shop estimator
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and estimating processes
- Proficiency in computer software, specifically estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet is seeking a full-time Body Shop Estimator to join our team in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. This position is a key role in our collision center , responsible for accurately and efficiently estimating the cost of repairs for our customers' vehicles. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of the automotive and collision industry. This is a highly demanding fast paced position with a base salary plus commission, allowing for a competitive earning potential.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Body Shop Estimator position at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet offers a competitive compensation package with a base salary of $68,000 to $100,000 per year, paid weekly.
Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan.
