What You'll Do
The
Business Development Specialist is a technical sales representative based out of the Carol Stream, IL location.
They work with assigned markets and customers to promote a variety of plant services with a primary emphasis to laser engraving and consumer good product sales.
They are responsible to solicit new business opportunities, manage the initial RFQ, part mark-ups, texture line-ups, customer coordination/consultation, and forecasting the EAD (estimated arrival dates) for upcoming jobs.
- Pursues new business prospects and develops strong consultative relationship with existing customers
- Respond to customer RFQ's
- Actively manage all quote opportunities in SAP
- Sell the combined offerings of Standex Engraving (Chemical, Laser, Tool Finishing, etc.)
- Provide customers with technical support and solutions (tooling, molded parts, etc )
- Manage the details of upcoming jobs to ensure that tools are ready to move through the texturing process when they arrive in our facility
- Accurate and timely dissemination of information
- Other activities as required in support of department, as needed
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree with major in engineering, business, sales/marketing or related field preferred
- 3+ years' experience in a laser sales and consumer goods product, or similar technical and/or sales role
- 3+ years' experience in automotive industry, tool/mold shops, texturing
- Some local travel (approximately 2535%)
