    ALLOY 26, Union Fitness and Alloy Events.

    ALLOY 26 is a cutting edge, coworking space where we provide great companies with office space, amenities and programming to help build the next big thing.

    Union Fitness is a fitness center where we strive to empower our members to be stronger and healthier.

    At Nova Place we can accommodate groups of nearly every size providing meeting and event spaces that are perfect for almost any group.


    About the Role:

    The Business and Development Manager is responsible for monitoring and supporting the activities of Alloy 26, Union Fitness and Alloy Events.


    This role is also responsible for proactively introducing Alloy 26, Union Fitness, and Alloy Events, to the broader Pittsburgh business and creative communities in order to garner business.

    Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for the day to day business and overall success of Alloy26.·

    Directly manage Alloy 26 employees including the Office Administrator and Operations Specialist.·

    Build membership through outreach, relationships, and valuable programming.·


    Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure the space is presentable and provides the necessary space and amenities to support the overall business.

    ·

    Assist with member processing, space logistics (amenities, cleaning, and configuration), technology, security, etc.·

    Build partnerships that will help contribute to the mission of creating an outstanding working community at Alloy 26.·


    Oversee events programming to contribute to the overall activity and life of Alloy 26, including opportunities for unexpected meetings, socializing, and learning.

    ·

    Work with accounting to manage revenue and expenses to ensure the overall financial success of the businesses.·


    Manage the Union Fitness staff and the events to ensure business success and strategies that are aligned with the overall Nova Place goals.

    ·

    Promote the vision and business of Alloy 26, Union Fitness, Alloy Events.·


    Coordinate property activities/needs between Alloy 26, Union Fitness, Alloy Events and the Nova Place Property Manager, including business promotions, space usage, parking, security, etc.

    ·

    Identify opportunities for each business to expand their membership/reach and review with the business managers and Marketing Manager.·

    Proactively coordinate with the Marketing Manager on all business development efforts to make sure all efforts are aligned.·


    Provide reports on business operations and results to VP of Commercial Operations and/or executive leadership group on a monthly or as needed basis.

    Minimum Qualifications·


    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college, or university, or one to two years of related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ·

    Ability to solve practical problems, and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.·

    Strong organizational and communications skills, and the ability to write reports and business correspondence. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and the public.·

    Experience with Microsoft Office.·

    Previous experience with building and maintaining partnerships, including tracking deliverables and commitments.·

    Familiarity with budget and expense management and ability to review financial statements.
