Job Summary: The Rental Sales and Service Representative is responsible for promoting, renting, and servicing rental products, equipment, or services to customers. This role involves assisting customers in selecting the right rental options, ensuring smooth rental transactions, providing technical support when necessary, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, or via email to understand their rental needs.
Provide information on available rental options, pricing, and terms.
Offer recommendations and advice to help customers make informed rental decisions.
Rental Transactions:
Process rental orders, including rental agreements, payments, and deposits.
Verify customer identification and payment information.
Coordinate equipment pick-up and return logistics.
Product Knowledge:
Maintain a deep understanding of the rental inventory, including specifications, features, and benefits.
Provide product demonstrations and instructions to customers, ensuring safe and proper usage.
Technical Support:
Assist customers with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to rented products or equipment.
Collaborate with technical or service teams when necessary to address complex problems.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure a positive rental experience for customers by addressing inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and effectively.

Sales and Upselling:

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Inventory Management:

Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of rental transactions, customer information, and equipment condition.
Generate rental agreements and invoices as needed.
Compliance and Policies:
Ensure compliance with company policies, rental agreements, and safety regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information and payment data.
Sales Reporting:
Prepare and submit rental sales reports and performance metrics as required by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework may be advantageous.
Proven experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
