Description

Essential Job Functions:

•Troubleshoot high-level technical and non-technical issues

•Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing

•Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects

•Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems

•Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end

•Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools

•Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis

•Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems

•Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects

•Assist senior engineers and field service engineering staff

•Create and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation

•Monitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks

•Prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plans

•Develop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions

•Research and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements

•Anticipate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms

•Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems

Education:

•Bachelor's degree (in computer science, engineering, or mathematics) + 10 yrs. related experience

Essential Qualifications:

Extensive experience with performing engineering and/or scientific research, studies, and analyses of specified technological, scientific, programmatic, and operational issues
Advanced Linux experience
Experience utilizing systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customers
Ability to travel when needed
Dependable
