    Description

    We are currently hiring a Tooling Engineer for a growing aerospace manufacturing company in the Greater Seattle area.

    Annual Salary Range: $90k - $130k

    As a Tooling Engineer, you will enhance existing designs and develop new ones, prepare blueprints for mechanical parts, and provide technical support to customers.

    As a Tooling Design Engineer, your job duties will include:

    • Meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
    • Conducting research to inform the design and engineering methods required.
    • Planning and executing designs using SolidWorks.
    • Developing blueprints for new tooling designs as per customer or project specifications.
    • Sharing designs with colleagues and implementing any relevant feedback in the new designs.
    • Developing prototypes and testing new designs.
    • Carrying out quality assurance tests on new designs.
    • Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
    • Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
    • Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

    Preferred education and experience:

    • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, similar field of study, or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years experience designing tooling
    • Work experience in aerospace, space, or defense.
    • SolidWorks
