    Relationship Specialist I ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT
    The Relationship Specialist I role involves providing outstanding member experiences through all interactions, both in-person and over the phone, by recognizing member cues, asking open-ended questions, and cultivating consumer and business relationships through understanding member needs and suggesting appropriate VyStar financial solutions.
    This crucial role includes articulating VyStar Credit Union's value proposition compared to competitors and stressing the significance of educating and actively assisting members with their financial objectives.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Deliver exceptional member experiences on the phone and in person, starting from greetings and introductions to enriching and strengthening member relationships via meaningful discussions and effectively promoting credit union solutions.
    • Recognize member cues, employ open-ended questioning techniques, and foster consumer and business relationships by identifying member needs.
    • Appropriately present consumer and business deposit, credit, insurance, and investment solutions.
    • Manage personal and business account transactions, account openings, and various loan applications processing.
    • Explain fundamental credit and saving options and refer complex business products, mortgage solutions, investment options, and insurance.
    • Offer additional member services such as account maintenance, notary, wire transfers, savings bond redemption, safe deposit box services, fraud claims, and credit card disputes.
    • Support and engage in all Credit Union initiatives and campaigns.
    • Exercise good judgment and discretion while complying with established limits and guidelines.
    • Work independently with accountability to complete tasks.
    • Demonstrate high levels of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism consistently.
    • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with members and partners at all times.
    • Resolve member issues autonomously, striving for positive outcomes and escalating complex concerns when needed.

    • Lead by example by participating in community service activities that support the VyStar brand.
    • Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Perform other assigned duties.
    JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    EDUCATION
    • A High School Diploma/GED is required.
    • An Associate's degree is preferred.
    EXPERIENCE
    Prior experience in a sales and/or customer service role, involvement in community service, military service, asking questions, providing recommendations, and making referrals is advantageous, preferably within a financial institution.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    • Previous experience in sales and/or customer service, ideally within a financial institution, with an added advantage of community service or military experience.
    • Ability to process transactions and requests accurately.
    • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Internet and Microsoft Office usage.
    • Outgoing personality with a strong willingness to assist others.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
