    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a pediatric float pool position requiring compact or Oklahoma RN licensure, BLS, and PALS certification.

    Responsibilities

    • Float pool position within a hospital setting
    • Pediatric patient population with varying acuity from simple to complex cases
    • Night shifts with weekend and holiday requirements
    • 12-hour shifts, three days per week
    • Provide nursing care for an assigned group of pediatric patients throughout the hospital
    • Document patient responses, administer medications, and monitor physiological data
    • Assist with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
    • Collaborate and communicate care plans with patients and their families
    • Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff
    • Holiday and weekend coverage required as per unit needs
    • A 6-month separation is required before returning if previously employed or contracted after 26 weeks

    Requirements

    • Active RN license in Oklahoma or current compact (eNLC) RN license
    • Current BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association
    • At least 1 year of pediatric RN experience
    • Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required; BSN preferred
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
