Duties:


Duty 1:

Serves as the Expeditionary Communications analyst and liaison ensuring policy and guidance related to all cyberspace activities in the USAF are technically integrated in accordance with current doctrine, strategy and statutory requirements.


Duty 2:

Represents AF/A26C with a variety of Department of Defense, Headquarters Air Force, US Government and civilian sector communications and Information Technology organizations.

Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with DoD-CIO, Joint Staff J6, Combatant Commands, US Space Force, USAF Major Commands, Air Force Spectrum Management Office, HQ AF Cyberspace Capabilities Center and other organizations as required.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a twoyear DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated criticalsensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A nondisclosure agreement must be signed
  • PCS expenses are Not authorized by IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
  • Employee must maintain current certifications
  • Disclosure of Political Appointments
  • Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit

Qualifications:


This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

  • 1: Knowledge of a wide range of cyberspace theories, concepts, principles, practices, procedures, policies, standards, and operations requirements to relate to user requirements.
  • 2: Knowledge of Federal, DoD and USAF laws, regulations, policies, and guidance concerning expeditionary communications and USAF program oversight.
