    General Accountabilities & Job Functions


    Generate Revenues by:

    • Performing Cold sales calls in house
    • Performing sales trips to prequalified accounts
    • Maintaining full potential of active accounts
    • Recapturing and keeping qualified inactive accounts
    • Recognize qualified leads by analysis of Shippers and Consignees
    • Establish relationships and build a book of business

    Maximize Customer and TLI Profit Potential by:

    • Understanding pricing matrix and gathering detailed information about customer freight and shipping requirements
    • Follow up on all quote opportunities and if not awarded work, request feedback on why TLI was not awarded the work
    • Understanding all roles in operations to ensure best practices are being implemented with customer from the initial set up.
    • Ensure processes remain simple and efficient before presenting solutions to customers

    Customer Point of Contact for:

    • Major (or minor) issues and situations with TLI vendors or employees
    • Solutions regarding internal or external problems with freight and postal management
    • Pricing issues or negotiations.

    Analysis and Report Customer Information and Opportunity by:

    • Creating and maintaining detailed Customer profiles
    • Research all Customer's freight spend opportunity, including inbound and outbound, Freight all kinds

    Assist Business Developed Department with:

    • Generating and maintaining lead database, mailbox leads
    • Travel arrangements, if requested
    • Sales and Marketing ideas and materials

    Follow all Operating and Financial Procedures & Policies:

    • Operate within established budgets
    • Provide Reports and Updates:
    i. Status Reports – Weekly
    ii. Travel and Expense Report – 2 Business Days upon Return
    iii. Weekly schedule meetings with VP of Sales & Marketing


    Travel Required:

    • To meet new or potential customers
    • To meet with current house accounts or vendors, if requested
    • To meet with potential or current carriers, warehouse, or other vendors
    • To attend assigned conferences: i.e. NPF, PCC meeting, etc.
