- Work with Jobs-Plus team to identify and enroll members into specified internal and external services such as training, certification, education, designed to prepare members for sustainable employment.
- Through an interactive process conduct on-going engagement activities with members to monitor and update their progress, provide & receive feedback designed to address their employment needs.
- Maintain thorough case notes and records on all member interactions and activities.
- Assist in the Facilitation of group/workshops in coordination with other Jobs-Plus units.
- Assist in providing instruction and presentations on resume preparation, job search techniques, job retention/milestones, training opportunities and interview skills. ·
- Effectively respond to crisis situations.
- Maintain a database, track enrollments/referrals and monitor and report progress of team to Coordinator.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, with prior notice.
- Help clients to obtain and maintain public benefits necessary to gain health care services, including Medicaid and cash assistance eligibility, Social Security, SNAP, housing, legal services, employment, and training supports, and others.
- Keen attention to detail to prepare daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly action plans as needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies.
- Work in partnership with colleagues, coordinators, director, etc., to help in data management, quality assurance and reporting efforts.
- Adaptable to help navigate needs of the community and assist in implementation of program changes.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability as needs of the program change
- Assist in the facilitation of workshops for a diverse group for Resource unit and in coordination with other units of the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. High School diploma required, and equivalent experience required. ·
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience. ·
- Prior social service experience with a proven experience in workforce development, preferably on a performance-based project. ·
- Self-motivated with an engaging customer service friendly personality. ·
- Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking competencies. ·
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. ·
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment. ·
- Work flexible hours, including some evenings including Saturdays with prior notice. ·
- Experience working with targeted community a plus. ·
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management and other standard business technology is required.
- Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required. Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
