    Description

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    Responsible for all activities required to maintain the inventory of a $20M power generation warehouse. This position also serves as the direct administrative assistant to the Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager. This includes coordination and ensuring all required plant staff training is completed as required. Requires excellent organizational skills to coordinate a variety of warehouse and office functions independently or under indirect supervision. Reports to and is under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager.

    Purchases, receives, disburses, and reorders while maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels utilizing an integrated work order, inventory, and purchasing information system.

    Conducts follow-ups and expedites the delivery of purchases as required.

    Supports timely invoice processing by receiving and processing the product through the Maximo work management system. All deliveries must be received immediately. If there any problems with delivered products this role will resolve directly with vendors

    Oversees the warehouse and managing inventory. Performs periodic physical inventory of all warehouses materials and maintains office supplies for the Power Plant.

    Loading and off loading trucks with forklift and moving materials inside warehouse.

    Assist the Plant manager with support for planning outage work along through bid preparations. Planning and purchasing for long-term projects.

    Site coordinator for Meridian management.

    This includes system familiarity and ability to pull drawings from system to provide to plant staff as well as contractors.

    Must inform FMPA Generation Engineering of any updates that must be completed to drawings.


    Support Plant Management and staff by capturing the team's specifications for procurements that can be entered as purchase requisitions into Maximo.

    Coordinates with FMPA Procurement Lead to make sure all procurement and purchasing policies are being followed.

    Coordinates the report function for the Power Plant. Tracks, compiles, types, and maintains file system on all reports. Creates and prepares various office forms, reports, and files as needed. Maintains various records and procedure manuals.

    Assists in the preparation of specifications for contract work that includes extensive word processing. Follows through with procedures necessary to complete the bid award.

    Coordinates and schedules employee training based on plant workload. This is inclusive of GPI learning/safety training, coordination of annual trainings such as LOTO, Site Access and NERC.

    Assists in the coordination of the O&M and Capital budgets as required.

    Other duties as assigned or requested.


    ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


    Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, supplemented by courses in typing and business practices, including word processing and computerized spread sheets.

    Five (5) years of progressively responsible Warehouse work.

    When considering new job applicants, a comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.


    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

    Ability to incorporate and employ on a continuous basis: initiate change, creativity, collaboration, pride and accountability.


    Considerable knowledge of inventory control methods, purchasing principles and practices of rules and regulations governing municipal procurement activities, safety precautions, and procedures used in receipt, storage, handling and control of merchandise.

    Thorough ability to interpret rules, regulations and policies, and make decisions based on established policies and procedures.

    Ability to understand and follow, quickly and accurately, brief oral and written instructions on moderately complex matters.

    General ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees as well as internal and external customers.


    NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS


    May require announced or unannounced overtime work and the ability to respond to call-out work during non-working hours or emergencies.

    Certification in Forklift operation.
