    Description

    Software Development Manager / Lead

    Fast growing Fintech / Payment software company seeking a Software Development Manager / Lead. While reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer you will lead and mentor a team of 9 developers while collaborating on technology decisions in a fast-paced technology driven environment that prides itself on industry leading customer service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support a team of 9 software engineers in achieving a high level of technical excellence and application stability.
    • Expect to allocate 50% of your time towards hands-on engineering tasks, such as code reviews, architectural design, prototyping, and troubleshooting, alongside your mentorship duties
    • Deliver new and support existing end-to-end capabilities that consist of customer-facing and underlying platform services
    • Lead the team to try out ideas and learn fast through rapid experimentation
    • Work with architects, product managers and other managers to deliver capabilities that provides the best experience for our customers
    • Manage and motivate a junior to mid level engineering team
    • Maintain high standards for operational excellence and engineering rigor through unit tests, functional tests and performance tests
    • Review plans, code, and provide technical guidance to your engineers

    Wed love to chat if you have:

    • 2+ years team lead or management of Software Engineers
    • 8+ years in software development, focusing on Microsoft C#, SQL Server, and Kotlin.
    • Expertise in cloud tech (preferably AWS)
    • Strong preference for experience or exposure with React Native
    • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external customers
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, make tough decisions, and prioritize development tasks
    • Experience in agile scrum development environment
    • Proficiency in leading complex problem-solving in distributed systems
    • Experience in the payments industry or building payment applications.
    • Experience leading Engineers through complex problem-solving in large scale distributed systems, performance optimization, and high availability systems.
    • Experience with more advanced or cutting-edge technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Serverless Architectures, AI/ML frameworks, Advanced Cloud Services)
