    Description
    Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist, keeping skills updated through education and research. Job responsibilities align with program objectives and organizational goals.


    Essential Job Responsibilities:
    - Each task is linked to the MFB Pillars of Excellence.

    - Responsibilities are connected to pillars as follows: Q (Quality), S (Service), P (People), G (Growth), F (Financial).

    Staff delivers patient care, treatment, and services within legal requirements and scope of practice.

    Provides patient care. (Q)

    - Aids in treatment planning and evaluation procedures alongside the physical therapist. Assists in patient treatment using various methods and activities.

    Offers feedback to the physical therapist on significant observations or changes in the patient's condition.

    Assists in determining equipment and supply needs, and may assist in acquisition and inventory of items.

    Acts as primary therapist post-evaluation and instruction from the physical therapist. Documents patient's progress in line with standards and guidelines.

    (Q) Collaborates with others to integrate physical therapy with patient care.

    (Q, S) Participates in conferences and exchanges records with team members as directed by the physical therapist.

    Provides patient and family education on physical therapy procedures. Attends meetings and in-services as required. (Q, P) Follows hospital policies, maintains productivity expectations, and supports program operations. (F, S) Acts as a patient advocate. (S) Demonstrates software and hardware competence required for the role.

    (Q) Adheres to Standards of Behavior when interacting with patients and colleagues.

    Other Job Responsibilities:
    - Acts as a clinical instructor for physical therapist assistant students, supervising and evaluating skills. Communicates with universities on student progress. (S, P, G)

    - Serves as a resource in their area of expertise. (S, G) Contributes to program development and research. (Q, G) Assists in training new staff and maintains treatment areas. (S)
