The Employee Communications Specialist is a business-savvy content manager who can facilitate the sourcing, optimizing, production, and delivery of internal communications.

The role is a good fit for an early-career communications professional who knows how to balance diverse projects and support senior-level content strategists in high-impact campaigns.

This specialist will support the Employee Communications team, which is part of the Corporate Affairs function.

Employee Communications helps HP's 50,000 employees in more than 60 countries internalize our company's vision, mission, strategy, and business priorities.

Our communications inspire employees to connect with and contribute to the HP Way, and to feel pride in the products they help create and deliver to our customers.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Support Employee Communications Content Strategists by managing operations, synthesizing stakeholder input, and optimizing team collaboration across platforms.
  • Support the Employee Engagement and Manager team with All-Employee Meeting (AEM) content and logistics and Manager Central site and newsletter content.
  • Mine for stories across our key markets and identify ways to amplify through our internal communications.
  • Track and report on measurements of success such as web traffic, readership measures, pulse surveys, company meeting surveys, etc.
  • Manage and juggle many unrelated projects under tight deadlines.
  • Create assorted communications for internal channels.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to achieve Employee Communications team goals.

Reporting and management line
This role reports to the Editorial Strategy and Content Lead.


Qualifications
With an associate degree or equivalent (bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred) and 3+ years of work experience in a related field, this individual demonstrates:

  • Passion for communications and the overall employee experience.
  • Prioritization, project management and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office36
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Writing, editing and/or graphic design experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with remote colleagues.
  • Courage to contribute ideas and take initiative toward shared goals.
  • Willing to learn something new every day.
  • A desire to bring creativity, curiosity, and innovative thinking to everything they do.
  • Flexibility, a sense of humor, and adaptability to change.
