- Meeting the basic requirements listed in the job announcement
- Completion of Residency Training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
- Holding a degree of doctor of medicine from an approved institution and a valid license to practice medicine or surgery
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Participating in primary care systems redesign projects
- Managing a panel of patients under Primary Care Management Model guidelines
- Providing clinical care for acute and chronic conditions, medication management, and preventive care
- Assisting with coverage of other department member panels as needed
- Participating in primary care staff meetings and medical staff meetings
- Working under the general supervision of the PSM Medical Director
- Completing work assignments with relative independence
- Ensuring work is reviewed and objectives are met
