Job Description
The
Analytical Engineer
will perform thermal, structural, and functional modeling of energetic components and systems in support of design and development of aerospace and defense programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop analytical models to assess the ability of EBAD products to meet functionalrequirements.
Envision and assess alternate concepts to meet functional requirements
Supporting project and operations teams by providing expert level assistance
Support existing products and product upgrades
Participate in failure analysis activities
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 6 years design and/or analysis of aerospace and defense products.
Demonstrated experience performing thermal and/or structural analysis of component level
designs.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills for interaction with various levels of management
Written reports, continuous improvement projects, power point presentations, and leading
problem solving teams are all expected to be developed skills.
Strong follow through and ability to work with Engineers to develop analytical models in support of product development, testing, and failure investigations.
Proficient with Microsoft office suite software.Must be able to read and interpret technical product drawings.
Desired Skills:
Experience with ANSYS and SolidWorks preferred.
Advanced degree preferred.
Experience with energetic materials a plus.
Ability to perform explicit dynamic analyses
Compensation:
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $135,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
