- Maintain a confidential list of available services and programs for new patients.
- Manage call volume to ensure that patients are directed to the proper resources for their needs.
- Oversee staff working the telephone lines and triage calls received.
- Receive, record, and respond to phone messages received.
- Provide information to patients and other staff members regarding community resources.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.
- Assume responsibility for the overall operation of specific duties of the department.
- Process referrals, verify benefits, and schedule patients
- Filing and charting.
- Assisting therapy team members by faxing referrals
