YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Consulting companies on all types of sales tax and related business issues, both national and international, with a focus on supply chain management or M&A transactions
Managing and overseeing projects directly with our clients (e.g. sales tax checks, creating sales tax manuals, workshops) as well as ongoing sales tax advice, including drafting/reviewing sales tax opinions and reports in German and English
Corresponding with various tax authorities and coordinating with our international colleagues in the International VAT Group for business transactions
Reviewing sales tax returns, advance tax returns, registrations for sales tax purposes, etc.
Assisting with national and international tax audits, sales tax special audits, and information requests
Clarifying legal principles in court proceedings before national and European courts
Assisting with sales tax corrections

YOUR PROFILE

Completed degree in law or business studies or a comparable education, preferably with a professional qualification (tax consultant, lawyer)
Knowledge of national and international tax law and several years of professional experience in the field of national and international sales tax law
Experience in managing sales tax projects is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong English and MS Office
