    Description

    Job Summary

    Build Pharmaceutical Filling Machines from complex mechanical assemblies working from assembly blue prints, engineering diagrams, parts lists, work orders, etc.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Five (5) years' progressive experience as a machine builder / mechanical assembler

    Ability to read and work from blueprints and engineering diagrams.

    Basic electronic and controls experience desirable.

    Basic computer skills desirable.

    Basic machining skills desirable.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Build Pharmaceutical Filling Machines from complex mechanical assembly operations and be able to perform quality checks on own work.

    Effectively use mechanical measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and others.

    Update drawings (mark prints, etc.) when identifying corrections from issued blueprints.

    Interact with and provide feedback to engineering department personnel on design or updates.

    Develop basic system skills in MRP and for checking parts in engineering software programs (Anvil/SolidWorks).

    Participate in a Process of Ongoing Improvement. Identify areas or processes that help improve the operation of the Assembly and Production areas and overall responsiveness to customers.

    Adhere to and implement the ISO QMS, and follow Company policies and safety regulations. Practice and encourage safe work practices.

    Diagnose machine performance problems working with the supervisor and responsible engineer.

    Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

    Develop further electrical knowledge.

    Perform equipment qualification test at the plant and perform machine installations at customer's site.

    Assist the Service Department and provide occasional technical maintenance at customer's site.

    Perform QA functions and Machine Shop duties as assigned, and train and assist other employees in the Company.
