Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and blueprints to assemble mechanical components and systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Follow assembly instructions and procedures to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
- Inspect finished assemblies for defects, ensuring all components are properly aligned, fastened, and calibrated.
- Conduct functional tests and performance evaluations on assembled products to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and testing issues as they arise, collaborating with engineers and other team members as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Document assembly and testing processes, including any deviations or abnormalities encountered, for quality control and continuous improvement purposes.
- Contribute to team goals and objectives by actively participating in meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical assembly preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly and testing, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing highquality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to [X] pounds) and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced and physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
